Thomson Reuters has named DuPont a 2015 Top Global Innovator, marking the fifth consecutive year the company has been named to the prestigious list. The program honors corporations and institutions around the world that are at the heart of innovation – creating new technologies and bringing them to life through commercialization.

Among DuPont’s innovations are advanced enzymes and sustainable biomass supply chain for one of the world’s first cellulosic ethanol plants in Nevada, Iowa, DuPont™ Corian® Charging Surface providing wireless charging for phones and tablets, new thin and stretchable conductive materials for wearable electronics, DuPont™ Kevlar® advanced ballistic protection and consumer products, Tyvek® HomeWrap® and medical packaging, Nomex® thermal protection, Optimum® AcreMax® insect protection products, Sorona® renewably sourced fibers, Rynaxypyr® insect control, award-winning DuPont™ Solamet® photovoltaic metallization pastes that help boost the power output of solar panels and DuPont™ Danisco® HOWARU® Cardio premium probiotic, which has been shown to significantly improve total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol levels. In 2014, DuPont recorded about $9 billion in sales from new products and applications launched between 2011 and 2014. The same year, DuPont scientists and engineers published some 300 articles in scientific journals, and DuPont had more than 3000 technology agreements with companies and universities.
