Watson Inc.’s Alice Wilkinson, vice president of Nutritional Innovation, will be a speaker at SupplySide West, on October 6 in Las Vegas, Nev. The title of Wilkinson’s presentation is “What Do the New Dietary Guidelines and Nutrition Facts Label Mean for Our Industry?”

Topics discussed in the seminar will include an overview of the 2015 - 2020 Dietary Guidelines for Americans, issued by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the U.S. Department of Agriculture in January of this year.

In addition, Wilkinson will provide information on the new voluntary and mandatory label nutrients, such as choline, as well as changes to serving sizes.

Alice Wilkinson is one of the foremost industry-recognized experts in the field of nutritional formulation. In this presentation, participants will learn what factors manufacturers should be most concerned about, and what steps they can take to ensure nutrient claims are met.
