A survey conducted by Harris Interactive (Rochester, N.Y.) on behalf of ZonePerfect (Columbus, Ohio) reveals nine out of 10 adults in the U.S. eat meals on the go. Six of the 10 do so at least daily, and just over a quarter (26%) eat on the go two to three times a day.
Many adults report they sometimes fail to keep health and wellness in mind when eating, and a large proportion identify “on-the-go activities” as the culprit behind those transgressions. Those activities include eating while traveling or dining out, as well as the dietary temptations found in the workplace, yet dietitians warn of the importance of consuming foods to provide the energy needed to fuel the body.
