Adding energy elements to alcoholic beverages has emerged as something of a trend of late. In Monaco, Propaganda (Monaco) has added guarana to its latest beer, while American powerhouse Anheuser-Busch (St. Louis) has announced plans for a beer infused with caffeine, guarana and ginseng.
Be, pronounced “b to the e,” will be packaged in a 10oz., slim-line can similar to those used with energy beverages. Containing 6.6% alcohol by volume (stronger than most beers), Anheuser-Busch's Be also will boast 54mg of caffeine and promises a flavor both lightly “sweet and tart.”
