IFT FOOD EXPO PREVIEW: IFT Marches into 'The Big Easy'
The music, the food, the atmosphere...New Orleans has much to offer
this year's IFT attendees. And what better place to host the
Institute of Food Technologists' 2001 Annual Meeting and FOOD
EXPOw than a region whose cuisine is renowned for its diverse cultural
roots, full flavor and bold spices.
Held at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center from June 23-27,
the annual meeting boasts more than 800 exhibitors showcasing the
latest developments in ingredient, processing, packaging and analytical
technology. Technical oral presentations, forums and posters sessions
will satisfy any food scientist's thirst for knowledge on a
variety of topics related to the food industry. And this year's
hot topic sessions hit on three areas pertinent in today's
global industry: bioterrorism, bovine spongiform encephalopathy
and the fate of “research” in research and development.
