Hitting the Shelves: Good for You and Fido -- February 2010
As
consumers increasingly seek authenticity and transparency in their products, a
simple snack that is healthy and seemingly ethical could be appealing. Toats’
Friendly O’s has launched Organic Snacks, said to be free from eggs, wheat,
dairy, trans fat, petroleum and chlorine. These snack-sized biscuits claim to
be a good source of omega-3 and fiber, and are packaged in a biodegradable and
recyclable pack. Most interestingly, this product markets itself as a snack for
dogs, horses and…humans! This proposition could be appealing to busy mothers
concerned about feeding their children and pets allergen-free snacks, and
Toats’ Organic Snacks pack a punch for either one.
