The Three Pillars of Sustainability, according to Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education, are: stewardship of the nation’s land, air and water; quality of life for farmers, ranchers and their communities; and profit over the long-term, which helps provide jobs, sustains rural communities and provides the potential for future generations to continue family farming operations.
