Personnel Move at Sargento

Sargento Foods Inc. promoted Marty Rowe to vice president of sales -- Strategic Channels in the company’s Consumer Products Division.

September 24/Plymouth, Wis./Press Release -- Sargento Foods Inc. promoted Marty Rowe to vice president of sales -- Strategic Channels in the company’s Consumer Products Division.

He will continue to work out of the Bentonville, Ark., office and report to Mark Gumm, senior vice president of Sales.

“Marty has made outstanding contributions to the organization managing Walmart and the wholesale club channel,” said Louie Gentine, president and chief customer officer at Sargento. “We congratulate Marty on this well-deserved promotion and are confident he will continue to drive our business forward.” 

Since joining Sargento in 2004, Rowe’s accomplishments have been recognized. In both 2006 and 2007, he was named sales manager of the year for the Consumer Products Division, and in 2007, thanks in part to the efforts of Rowe and his team, Sargento received the Supplier of the Year Award from Walmart. Prior to Sargento, Rowe worked for Johnson and Johnson in New Brunswick, N.J., and Sara Lee Bakery in Chicago.

Rowe received a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Georgia in Athens, Ga., and a master’s degree in business administration from Mercer University in Macon, Ga.
