Cannabis Products celebrates its fourth anniversary this month, and much has changed since its inception.

BNP Media launched Cannabis Products in late 2018 with the goal of becoming a resource for edibles manufacturers, as well as traditional CPG companies seeking to cross the bridge into the cannabis arena. We’ve served this audience by offering insight into category and market trends, manufacturing best practices, and equipment and ingredient offerings.

But due to a variety of circumstances — including the lack of federal legalization — traditional CPG manufacturers, by and large, have slowed their entry into the cannabis market. With the notable exception of the beverage industry — and specifically the alcohol category — many manufacturers are watching what emerging multi-state operators (MSO) are implementing. This landscape change has revitalized the pace of market development, and we’re excited to see what the next year brings.

Heading into 2023, we’ve decided to pivot in how we serve our audience. We want to focus on the companies that set out to build and shape the cannabis edibles industry from the beginning, as well as those that are brave enough to face the challenges of operating within competitive, individualized state markets.

With this directional change will come adjustments in how we provide the latest news and insights, and we plan to share more on that soon. In the meantime, we hope our readers will continue to turn to Cannabis Products as the leading source for the cannabis edibles industry.
