It all comes down to awareness. Regulations, claims, personal hygiene... you must have some sense of awareness. Failure to be clued-in to the goings-on in these fields could lead to disaster, or at least, supreme embarrassment.

Government regulations tend to be a fluid entity, ever-changing, and at times, rolling back on itself. Today's regulations may limit ingredient A, but a year from now they may be lifted. Best practice and legal label claims may dictate specific language in 2013, but it 2015 the accepted verbiage may change. At any rate, what I mean to say is that the world of regulations and claims is always turning and you must follow it in order to keep your products in line with industry practice and law.

Where can you go to find such information? I know a place. It's a massive stockpile of data about the food industry including the elusive regulations and claims game. I won't burden you with it all at once. Allow me to be your curator.
