Jeff is a recovering former investment banker. After being diagnosed with adult onset lactose tolerance in 2012, Jeff was miffed at the lack of decent dairy-free milk options available for his coffee, smoothies, and cereal. So, on nights and weekends he played the role of mad scientist and created his own homemade recipes in his apartment kitchen. In 2016, Jeff walked away from his finance career to take the full-time plunge into Mooala with a vision to change the world (…or maybe just the dairy aisle). Most people thought Mooala was completely nuts, but it turned out to be bananas, too. Prior to Mooala, Jeff was a Vice President with the Merchant Banking Group of BNP Paribas where he was responsible for managing the execution of private equity-backed dept and equity financing in the consumer products, industrial, and energy industries. From 2009 to 2011, Jeff was a member of the Fifth Third Bank M&A team (formerly Challenger Capital Group) where he executed buy-side M&A, sell-side M&A, and private placement engagement.
Jeff is a passionate venture capital investor in consumer products companies. He currently serves on the boards of The Great American Turkey Company and Magic Mind, and was named a finalist for the 2019 Entrepreneur of the Year Award by Ernst & Young. Jeff grew up in Cypress, TX and graduated from Baylor University with a BBA in Finance. He lives in Dallas, TX.
