An addition to the freezer case, but only those in Canada for now, is Michelina’s (Kitchener, Ontario) Salad Bowls. The vegetable-and-fruit-based bowl meals can be served hot or cold, and provide a full serving of vegetables and not much fat. The product is a unique find among convenience meals in the freezer case. To serve it cool, heat it in the microwave for about two minutes and stir.

A whole line of flavors is available, including California Mandarin, which is a mix of broccoli, carrots, red bell peppers, mandarin oranges, golden raisins, dried cranberries, with an apricot sesame vinaigrette. Other varieties include Italian, Greek, Caesar and Southwestern.
