Hitting the Shelves: Chugging Chocolate -- October 2009



Everyone needs a little caffeine boost during the day, especially when consumers live such hectic lives. Anthon Berg recently launched a line of Chocolate Coffee Drinks available in a 1.73oz on-the-go pack. It consists of premium dark chocolate shaped as latte glasses and filled with liquid coffee, in flavors like Vanilla Frappe, Cappuccino, Espresso and Toffee Macchiato. Anthon Berg is better known for making small, liquid-center chocolates, so this is an innovative advancement for the brand. Expanding to coffee and emphasizing that these are truly drinks means the company is promoting usage of the product to extend past after-dinner liquor chocolate. Anthon Berg would like to see consumers to use the chocolate treats as pick-me-ups throughout the day.
