September 29/Camden, N.J./Airline Industry Information -- Campbell Soup Company's board of directors has elected Denise M Morrison as executive VP, COO and director, effective October 1, 2010. Further, Campbell said that the new senior leadership team will report to Morrison as well.

President of Campbell USA since November 2008, Sean Connolly will succeed Morrison as president of the North America Soup, Sauces and Beverages division that includes its U.S. Soup business, Sauces and Beverages, Campbell Canada and North America Foodservice. He joined Campbell as VP of Food Brands in 2002.

At present, senior VP and chief customer officer, Mark Alexander will assume the position of president of Campbell International, overseeing its businesses in Asia Pacific, Europe and Latin America, having joined the company in 1989.

Pat Callaghan will continue to serve as president of Pepperidge Farm as he has for over 30 years and will report to Morrison.

Irene Chang Britt, the president of North America Foodservice at present, will take over as senior VP and chief strategy officer for the companyâ s global businesses responsible for Global Marketing Services and Global Consumer and Customer Insights. She joined Campbell as general manager of Sauces and Beverages in December 2005.

Senior VP of Global R&D and Quality, George Dowdie remains in his role and will report to Morrison. He served in many leadership roles in research and development since he joined the company in December 2002.

In other changes, president of Campbell International since 2005, Larry McWilliams will be the senior VP of International Business Development effective October 1, having served Campbell since 2001 as chief customer officer, while Carl Johnson, the chief strategy officer since 2001 will become senior VP and senior advisor to the CEO and retire from the company on April 1, 2011. These two men will continue reporting to Douglas R. Conant, president and chief executive officer.
