April 25/Daily Record-- Drinking two or three cups of coffee a day could help reduce the risk of breast cancer in women by a third, a study has found.

The effect of coffee is related to female hormones. Some metabolic products of the hormones are known to cause cancer but coffee alters these metabolisms, Swedish researchers found.

Coffee also contains caffeine, known to hamper the growth of cancer cells.
