April 27/Chicago/Prepared Foods-– Multisorb Technologies announced the appointment of Robert Sabdo to the position of business development leader, Food & Beverage Packaging. In this role, Sabdo will be responsible for expanding Multisorb’s business in diverse food and beverage packaging applications, including case-ready meat, processed meats, organic and natural foods, bakery, cheese, refrigerated prepared foods and beverage containers.

Sabdo has over 36 years of experience in the packaging industry, with in-depth knowledge of active packaging technology and its numerous applications in the food and beverage industry as well as the pharmaceutical, diagnostics, dietary supplement, and electronics markets. During his 10-year tenure at Multisorb, Sabdo has worked as a business development leader for diverse markets, including diagnostics, electronics and specialty packaging.

Prior to joining Multisorb, Sabdo served as sales manager at Philips Joanna in Ladd, IL, where he led global marketing, development, sales and technology services. Sabdo earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Packaging Science from Michigan State University. He is a member of and an AmeriStar Judge for the Institute of Packaging Professionals (IOPP).
