October 29/Hanover, PA/ADP News Renewable Energy Track -- Snack food company Snyder's of Hanover plans this month to break ground on a solar farm that will be the largest ground-based solar energy system in Pennsylvania with over 16,000 panels.

After gaining approval from the Penn Township Planning and Zoning Board, Snyder's of Hanover will build the solar farm on the field across route 116 from the plant and corporate headquarters, the company said. It did not specify the plant's value and capacity.
