Yogurt has something of a healthy halo, and drinkable forms of yogurt have proven popular over the years. Now, Danone Inc. has introduced Danacol with plant sterols in Canada.
Noting plant sterols have been shown to reduce cholesterol, Danone states its introduction in Canada “builds on the international success enjoyed by Danacol since 2004.” In addition to the plant sterols, the beverage also promises calcium, vitamins B12, A and D, and 35 calories per serving.
