A leading global supplier of teas and tea extracts, the UK’s James Finlay Ltd., opened a new Food and Beverage Solutions Center with two sites—a R&D Lab and consumer research site—in the greater Boston area. 


Finlay’s 1,300-sq.-ft. R&D Lab features a staff of six, including trained sensory experts. The lab is fully-equipped and certified by the Safe Quality Foods Institute, the Rainforest Alliance, the Fair Trade Federation, the Organic Trade Association, American Halal Association and OU Kosher. Caroline Vogel, director of quality and R&D, manages the lab.

Kim Cipriano, director of marketing, supervises the consumer research site, which has a fully-equipped consumer interviewing facility with a dedicated moderator. The consumer research site kitchen space supports sample preparation for consumer taste testing.
