Lundberg Family Farms unveiled Organic Sprouted Risotto as the latest innovation in its product lineup of easy and wholesome sides and entrées. The Organic Sprouted Risotto entrées feature sprouted whole grain brown Arborio rice and is available in three different flavor profiles: Butter & Chive, Cheddar & Peppers, and Sweet Corn & Bell Pepper.

While the dish is traditionally made with white rice, Lundberg’s new Organic Sprouted Risotto (SRP: $3.49) is made with organic whole grain brown Arborio rice that has been sprouted to create a soft texture ideal for risotto. The individual kernels plump and create a rich, creamy sauce while the grains remain separate and al dente, and each variety is made with organic milk and feature other real ingredients like garlic, cheese, herbs and spices.
Organic Sprouted Risotto is versatile enough to help families easily add sprouted whole grains to any meal, and can be made even more wholesome by simply stirring in fresh or frozen veggies or by topping with a lean protein. Leftover risotto can also be used to make baked or fried arancini – brown rice patties that are crispy on the outside and tender and creamy on the inside.
