Hormel Foods Corporation recently honored 26 suppliers with its prestigious Hormel No. 1 Award for their 2011 – 2015 performance. The honor is presented to the company’s top suppliers every five years.

As the company celebrates its 125th anniversary this year, Hormel Foods Corporation announced the launch of its 10th annual corporate responsibility report.

Hormel Foods Corporation announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Justin’s, LLC (Justin’s), owner of the Justin’s® brand and a pioneer in nut butter-based snacking. Justin’s markets four successful nut butter-based snack lines – spreads, squeeze packs, peanut butter cups and snack packs.

The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including the receipt of regulatory approvals in the United States, and is expected to close within 30 days.

Hormel Foods Corporation announced a company-wide clean label initiative to simplify the ingredient statements of many of its retail products through the removal or replacement of ingredients, while still delivering great-tasting items that consumers expect.

Hormel Foods Corporation is celebrating its 125th anniversary in 2016. This commemorative event provides an opportunity to reflect upon the company’s heritage and celebrate the future direction of the company.

Snee was also appointed to the Board of Directors. Snee succeeds Jeffrey M. Ettinger, 57, who has served as president since 2004. Ettinger will continue to serve as the company’s chairman and chief executive officer.
