February 6/South Hackensack, N.J./Press Release -- In January, C.W. Brabender Instruments, Inc. hired Kristen McCarty as laboratory manager for its food characterization lab located at C.W. Brabender Instruments’ headquarters in South Hackensack, N.J.

The company notes McCarty brings many years of significant experience and expertise in food testing and food quality assurance to C.W. Brabender Instruments, Inc.  Previously, she held the position of Quality trainee for ConAgra in Saginaw, TX and was promoted to Quality lead for is Alton, Ill., location.  She was a member of the ConAgra Foods Culture Board and acted as a college recruiter for ConAgra mills during her tenure and has a B.S. degree in Food Science Technology from the University of Nebraska where she worked closely with Dr. Michael Zeece in the Food Chemistry/Food Protein laboratory, even traveling with him to Ireland to work with other food science students from the University of Cork. 

McCarty will be responsible for maintaining the C.W. Brabender food laboratory and conducting customer trials on our extensive line of laboratory scale food testing instruments.  She will be responsible for handling all customer technical inquiries in support of our food instrument product line for the North American market.  Additionally, she will conduct instrument demonstrations and be a presenter during the Food Characterization Division’s Technical seminars held throughout the year.
