January 31/South Hackensack, N.J./C.W. Brabender® Instruments Press Release -- Shuping Yan, Ph.D. candidate, has joined C.W. Brabender® Instruments Inc. as laboratory manager for the Food Division.  

Per a company press release, she brings many years of significant experience and expertise in cereal chemistry, food testing and new food product development to C.W. Brabender Instruments, Inc.  Her higher educational background began with a B.S. in Grain and Oil Storage at Henan University of Technology (formerly Zhengzhou Grain College) in China.  She achieved her M.S. in Grain Science and Industry from Kansas State University and is currently completing her Ph.D. in Biological and Agricultural Engineering at Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kan.

She will be responsible for maintaining the C.W. Brabender Food Laboratory while conducting research on the company's line of laboratory-scale food testing instruments.  She will be responsible for publishing papers on her new research findings as well as handling all customer technical inquiries in support of the company's food instrument product line for the North American market.
