Dr. Praeger’s Hash Browns

All four varieties are kosher, certified gluten-free and verified by the Non-GMO Project

Dr. Praeger’s is packing garden-fresh flavor and ingredients into a breakfast classic: the hash brown. The family-owned company – best known for its veggie burgers – is bringing its veggie love to a new hash brown line that upgrades the traditional potato hash brown with a variety of root vegetables and modern flavors.

Crispy, golden brown on the outside and tender on the inside, the new products are made with simple ingredients in four varieties:

  • Four Potato Hash Browns, a rainbow of red, gold, purple and sweet potatoes shredded into hash browns
  • Root Veggie Hash Browns, a hearty medley of carrots, Yukon Gold potatoes, rutabaga, taro and yuca
  • Southwest Hash Browns, Yukon Gold potatoes, spicy peppers & onions blended together into a crispy hash brown
  • Sweet Potato Hash Browns, a mix of sweet potato shreds with a hint of brown sugar

The hash browns meet increased demand for convenient, flavorful breakfast items, handy snacks and easy components for quick meals. To be consumed alone or paired with eggs, Dr. Praeger’s hash browns can also easily be transformed into creative meals – topped with grilled vegetables, or a base for casseroles – vegan or otherwise, any time of day.

“Who doesn’t love breakfast? We had a lot of fun trying all sorts of root vegetables, looking for just the right textures and flavor combinations to modernize the breakfast staple,” said Dr. Praeger’s CEO Larry Praeger, “We’re bringing restaurant quality hash browns to the grocery store, so families can enjoy them all day. From sweet to savory, we think there’s something for everyone.”

Like all Dr. Praeger’s products, the new 8-pack Hash Browns are made with simple, whole food ingredients. All four flavors are Kosher, certified gluten-free and verified by the Non-GMO Project. The new offerings are available nationally at natural food stores and conventional grocers (SRP $4.99 for all Hash Browns).
