NEW YORK (MarketWatch)/March 22, 2007 -- Tyson Foods (tsn) said it planned to sell two poultry plants in Alabama to Koch Foods Inc. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The Springdale, Ark. meat processor said many of the 1,200 employees at the plants are expected to be offered jobs at Koch, but 400 of 675 jobs at a plant in Gladsen, Ala. will be eliminated. The stock closed Wednesday up 10 cents at $18.42.
