February 18/Nevada, Iowa/Prepared Foods Magazine -- Burke Corporation announced Robert (Bob) Darling has been named Northwest regional sales manager and will be based in Seattle. Darling will be responsible for promoting and selling Burke’s fully cooked meat toppings and fillings to foodservice operators, distributors and industrial food manufacturers in Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, northern California, northwest Nevada, and Alberta and British Columbia, Canada.

“Bob brings with him more than 20 -years sales experience in the foodservice industry, with the majority of that time spent in the territory he now will be managing,” said Scott Miller, Burke Corporation, national sales manager. “He brings excellent experience and skills to the position that will be a great benefit to Burke and Burke’s customers.”

For the last 13 years, Darling’s been on the manufacturing side selling pizza crust, pasta and canned food for companies such as Costa Macaroni Manufacturing Company, T.R. Rizzuto Pizza Crust Inc., and most recently Acme Food Sales Inc. Prior to that, he spent eight years as a distributor sales representative, purchasing manager and general manager in the foodservice industry.
