May 21/FinancialWire -- Privately held meat processor Kayem Foods Inc. has agreed to acquire some brands from Tyson Foods Inc.

Kayem will buy New England brands Jordan's, Deutschmacher, Kirschner, Essem, Tasty Bite and Williams of Vermont brands from Tyson. Financial terms of the deal were undisclosed.

Kayem makes the Kayem and Old Tyme Natural Casing brands of franks sold in New England.
