On the Street: New Sun-Rype President

February 16/Kelowna, B.C., Canada/Canada NewsWire -- Merv Geen, chairman of the board of directors of Sun-Rype Products Ltd. announced the appointment of Dave McAnerney as the new president and chief executive pfficer of the company, effective immediately. Since joining the company in 2005, McAnerney has taken on increasing responsibilities, most recently serving as vice president, Operations & Human Resources, and acting as interim president and CEO in 2008. Before joining Sun-Rype, McAnerney was in senior management roles for over 18 years with another national Canadian beverage manufacturer.

Since becoming a member of the Sun-Rype management team, Dave has demonstrated outstanding leadership within the company. Most recently, he led the company's negotiating team in its collective bargaining with the Teamsters Union Local 213, resulting in a new five-year collective agreement, expiring August 31, 2015. With that new collective agreement providing for long-term stability at the company's Kelowna manufacturing facility, Dave and Sun-Rype's management team will be able to focus on growing the company," says Geen.

McAnerney replaces David Lynn, who has left the company to pursue other opportunities.
