On the Street: AAK Names CEO/Managing Director

April 6/Stockholm/Business Wire -- Arne Frank has taken over as president and CEO of AarhusKarlshamn AB (AAK) after Jerker Hartwall. Frank holds an MSc in Industrial Management from Linköping Institute of Technology.

"During a very interesting introduction period, I have been privileged to meet many key persons in AAK's management and employees within the various business areas. I have also had the opportunity to meet a large number of customers," says Frank. "It has been very valuable for me to acquire this knowledge, experiences and views before I formally started my work at AAK. It has been especially important to thoroughly understand the beliefs and behaviors of the company, including the respect for the environment in which we operate. The reactions I've received from our customers strongly confirm that our strategy is right: a strong focus on continued development toward specialty products. This and a selective acquisition strategy with a strong balance sheet as a basis will bring AAK forward and ensure a continued strong development of our profitability," Frank concluded.

In addition to Arne Frank, the following persons constitute the company's group management:
Anders Byström is vice president of AarhusKarlshamn AB and CFO.
Renald Mackintosh is president of Food Ingredients Continental Europe.
Ian McIntosh is president AarhusKarlshamn of UK & Americas.
Frank remains acting president of Chocolate & Confectionery Fats, replacing Jørgen Balle who left AAK in December 2009.
Bo Svensson is acting president of Technical Products & Feed, replacing Magnus Jörsmo who left AAK in December 2009.
