Tapping into increasing demand for stronger flavors, Schweppes Dark Ginger Ale offers a bolder, darker and richer flavor experience while maintaining a traditional, refreshing ginger ale taste.

"Ginger ale is a classic and favorite beverage during the holiday season, which makes it the perfect time to introduce the new Schweppes Dark Ginger Ale," said Scott Smith, Brand Manager, Schweppes. "Our goal is to give consumers more of what they already love by providing this refreshing option that taps into a growing flavor trend."

Schweppes Dark Ginger Ale is now available in 2-liter bottles at most major retailers in the Northeast United States, including New England (Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut and Rhode Island) as well as in New Jersey, New York and select regions in Pennsylvania. Additional package offerings of Schweppes Dark Ginger Ale will be available in Spring 2016.

Schweppes has been a key player in the carbonated beverage industry for more than 200 years. The first soft drink can be traced as far back as the late 1700s, when Jacob Schweppe developed his process for manufacturing a carbonated beverage, mineral water.
