SeaPak Shrimp & Seafood Company launched a line of lighter, better-for-you frozen seafood products that remain true to the company’s mission to bring authentic, high-quality, convenient mealtime options to seafood lovers across the country.

The new SeaPak Selections product line features five new items: SeaPak Selections Lemon Pepper Shrimp, SeaPak Selections Creamy Garlic Shrimp, SeaPak Selections Alaskan Salmon Burgers, SeaPak Selections Maryland Style Crab Cakes, and SeaPak Selections Sesame Ginger Salmon.

The SeaPak Selections products are being introduced in Kroger and Meijer supermarkets throughout the country. They also will be available in some supermarkets owned by Ahold Delhaize, such as selected Food Lion, Hannaford, and Stop & Shop locations.

“We know many consumers are shifting their eating habits toward lighter and healthier meals – particularly at the start of the year – and they’re actively incorporating this mindset into their weekly menu planning,” said SeaPak Marketing Manager Leslie Harris Thomas. “Our goal is to steer those individuals toward the frozen food aisle, where they’ll find better-for-you SeaPak Selections choices that can be prepared without any hassle. Selections products are quick and easy to serve up and feature top-trending ingredients and flavors. They uphold the SeaPak brand’s reputation for taste and quality, which leads the industry.”

Consumer preferences for leading seafood proteins such as shrimp, salmon and crab, as well as low-calorie and minimally processed ingredients, were key factors in the creation of the SeaPak Selections line, Harris Thomas explained. She added that these new products, which constitute higher-quality, healthier meals, are also designed to appeal to SeaPak’s two types of shoppers: 1) people who don’t consider themselves “cooks” who are looking for delicious, quick and easy mealtime solutions, and 2) people who thrive in their kitchens and seek out attractive, new products and flavors that will elevate their meals.

The new Selections items adhere to strict guidelines for responsible sourcing and sustainability. Four of the five new products are gluten-free and do not contain any artificial preservatives, colors or flavors.
