AAK uses SupplySide West to highlight plant-based fats and oils

AAK invites SupplySide West (SSW) attendees to discover their latest multi-functional fat and oil solutions during the Expo event in Las Vegas, November 2-3, 2022. Visitors to AAK booth #2330 can discover a variety of forward-looking concepts that highlight the versatility and performance of AAK’s specialty fats and oils for a wide range of food and nutrition applications.

SSW visitors can also try an assortment of deliciously innovative and nutritional plant-based concepts that AAK’s team created for the show at booth #2330. The following prototypes showcase AAK’s fat and oil solutions:

• Jelly Stick for Brain & Eye Health – A natural, tasty and functional jelly stick, featuring Akovita® ELIP and Akovita® DHA. This natural phospholipid (PL) solution, derived from egg yolk from cage-free hens, includes unique PL-bound omega 3 DHA and choline, which are clinically proven to positively impact brain health, support healthy eye function and improve learning and memory.

• KETO-1 Beverage – A unique keto product developed with key nutritional composition, ideal texture and great taste. AAK can develop tailored blends and special lipid formulations to support Ketogenic diets, and help make the foods that people love.

• Plant-based Cheese – Features AAK’s AkoVeg™ 107-12 blend of coconut oil and sunflower oil and has a firm yet flexible texture for the ideal bite and creamy mouthfeel. Its clean flavor profile features mild dairy notes, and its excellent slice-ability creates the perfect addition to any sandwich or cracker. Also enjoy this delicious plant-based cheese shredded over a salad.

• Plant-based Butter – Perfect for cooking and baking—and stable at room temperature. Includes AAK’s AkoVeg™ 160-04 refined coconut oil and AkoSun™ 46-79 for excellent creaminess with no animal-derived ingredients. AAK’s newest hardstock for patent pending plant-based butter features a super-clean taste. It’s palm free and non-hydro, for a clean and simple label. Remaining stable at room temperature, this plant-based butter made with AAK’s hardstock can be used as a 1:1 dairy butter replacement.
