Timed for July’s National Ice Cream Month, Yuengling’s Ice Cream launched its new 8-ounce single-size serving cups complete with spoon attached inside the lid. The product combines the convenience and novelty of a “grab and go” serving.
Millennials, more than any other age group, say ice cream is their favorite summer food. Americans are more than twice as likely to name ice cream (65%) over pie (27%). And sweet, creamy ice cream treats hit the spot for more Americans than summer's savory standbys of burgers (63%), hot dogs/brats (52%) and ribs (45%).
August is National Ice Cream Month in the U.S., but some of the biggest moves in the segment have not come from ice cream at all. Gelato has emerged on American menus and even in American homes.
