Philadelphia, Pa -- The board of directors of David Michael & Co. recently announced the following new hires:

Erica Byerly joins David Michael & Co. as a consumer research specialist. She is a Villanova graduate with an MS degree in Experimental Psychology and a BS in Food Science and Nutrition from the University of Missouri.

Recently, the Applications Lab was joined by Kelly DeFusco as project leader -- Bakery Cereal. DeFusco has a BS degree from Rowan University and a MS degree in Food Marketing from St. Joseph's University. She comes to David Michael with 15 years experience, specializing in cereal and bakery products at Ottens, Clement Pappas and Firmenich.

David Michael & Co. welcomed Laura Ennis as a senior beverage innovation technologist. She has over seventeen years of experience in the beverage arena, previously working with International Flavors & Fragrances.

Michele Pittner is our most recent addition to David Michael's Purchasing Department. She comes to David Michael with over sixteen years experience in purchasing and expediting.

David Michael welcomes Jean-Marc Sierro, who has joined David Michael as an account manager in the Western Region. He is a graduate of the University of Switzerland, and has a background in Purchasing, Logistics and Sales.

Four promotions were also announced in the Philadelphia office:
Marie Cummings has been promoted to the position of manager of Food Applications and Product Development.
Ken Dorsey has been promoted to senior vice president, director of Manufacturing.
Erica Reiner has been promoted to the position of vice president, Strategic Business Development.
Shelly Semento has been promoted to vice president of Human Resources.

David Michael Europe also announced the following addition:

Christine Deirdarian joins David Michael Europe in sales administration.
