June 4, 2007/Prepared FoodsPHILADELPHIA, PA -- The board of directors of David Michael & Co. recently announced the following new hires.

Production superintendent John Kling joins David Michael & Co. with a degree in Chemical Engineering from Penn State University. He has worked for companies such as Archer Daniels Midland and Sweet Ovations in various engineering and production management roles.

Processed flavors chemist Yuko Noda joins David Michael in the rocessed flavor department. Yuko is a Penn State graduate with an MS degree in food science and received her BA in chemistry from Dartmouth College.

Sonia Ortiz was welcomed to the technical department as a flavor lab technician.

David Michael also announced the following additions and promotions to its international facilities.

Ixel Castillo joined the David Michael de Mexico team in the Quality Control area. She has a degree in food technology with a specialty in quality control from the La Salle University in Mexico.

Li Hong has joined David Michael Beijing as a food technologist. Li has an MS degree in food science and has a background in yogurt product development and technical support.

Lucy Tian was recently hired as manager of sales and marketing for David Michael (Beijing) Flavor Co. Ltd. She has a degree in chemistry and brings eight years of experience with her.

Han Yajun of David Michael Beijing has been promoted to the position of account manager. Han has moved from the applications department to sales.

GuoYing Yang joins David Michael Beijing as a food technologist. Guoying has a degree in Food Science and Bioengineering with experience in bakery R&D.

Li Ying has joined David Michael Beijing as quality control manager. Ying was formerly a technical supervisor for SGS-CSTC Standard Technical Co. Ltd. in Beijing where she trained with HACCP, GMP, ISO9000 and other related quality systems in the food industry.
