March 21/New York/Business Wire -- Godiva announced its appointment of David S. Marberger as senior vice president, chief financial officer and head of Strategy. Marberger announced his resignation as the CFO and executive vice president of Tasty Baking Company effective March 28, 2008.

As CFO, Marberger was directly involved with board of director communications and investor and stakeholder interactions. Under Marberger's leadership, Tasty Baking developed a comprehensive pension funding and debt refinancing strategy, moved from the New York Stock Exchange to NASDAQ and established a new pay for performance compensation structure. Marberger ultimately strengthened the Finance and Accounting function and drove investment in sales, marketing operations, manufacturing and technology.

Prior to joining Tasty Baking Company, Marberger spent 10 years at Campbell Soup where he held various positions in the finance department, including two vice president of Finance roles in Campbell Operating Divisions, director of Worldwide Audit, and manager of Global Corporate Development. A certified public accountant, Marberger spent seven years prior to Campbell at PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

Marberger earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Massachusetts and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
