April 26/Horsholm, Denmark/Press Release -- Klaus Pedersen will join Chr. Hansen as new chief financial officer (CFO) on October 1, 2011. At the same time, he will become a member of the executive board of Chr. Hansen Holding A/S.

Pedersen joins Chr. Hansen after serving as CFO at The Danish National Railways (DSB). Before joining DSB Group, Pedersen held various key-positions at executive level at TDC A/S, latest as senior executive vice president and member of the group management. Pedersen holds an MSc in Business Economics from Aarhus Business School.

“Klaus has a strong financial background from national as well as international positions, a solid commercial mind-set combined with a vast leadership experience. All competencies that are well suited to Chr. Hansen and I am happy to welcome Klaus onboard,” said Lars Frederiksen, CEO.

Chr. Hansen's executive board will consist of Lars Frederiksen, Henning Jakobsen (until September 30, 2011), Knud Vindfeldt, Henrik Dalbøge, Carsten Hellmann, Carsten Bennike, Jesper Allentoft and Pedersen.
