Coke Promotes Pair

February 6/Atlanta/The Atlanta Journal-Constitution -- Coca-Cola Co. announced promotions for Jerry Wilson, head of the McDonald's division, and Javier Goizueta, a vice president within the McDonald's division and son of the late Roberto Goizueta.

The McDonald's division handles Coke's relationship with the world's largest restaurant chain. Wilson, a senior vice president and president of the McDonald's division, will become chief customer and commercial officer effective March 1, according to a memo sent to Coke employees.

Wilson, who joined Coke in 1988, will lead a team that builds relationships between Coke and its customers across all channels. He will report to Joe Tripodi, Coke's chief marketing and commercial officer.

Goizueta will become president of the McDonald's division. His father was a Coca-Cola chief executive officer and chairman who led the company for 16 years before his death in 1997.

Javier Goizueta will report to Coke President and CEO Muhtar Kent. Before joining Coke in 2001, he spent 20 years with Procter & Gamble.
