October 15/Chicago/Health & Beauty Close-Up -- Chicago-based food industry consultant Technomic announced that Mary Chapman has joined the firm as director, Product Innovation.
Originally working for Restaurants & Institutions magazine, Chapman subsequently spent 13 years at Chain Leader magazine, most recently as the editor-in-chief, according to the company. At Technomic, she will develop new, specialized market intelligence reports and industry conferences.
"Mary brings a unique and valued perspective into our organization," says Ron Paul, president of Technomic. "Her rich understanding of chain operators' interests and concerns will provide additional depth and quality to our offerings for these clients."
Chapman's initial projects include reports on specialized topics such as barbecue, comfort food and Latin menu items. She will also add depth to Technomic's industry reports on growth companies and chains, and conferences showcasing its chain concept data and consumer research.
