January 10/Muscatine, Iowa/GPC Press Release -- John Thorpe was recently appointed president of Grain Processing Corporation (GPC). Thorpe joined the company in 2002 as sales manager, Feed Ingredients.

He was promoted to vice president, Feed Ingredients in 2004, and in 2005 to vice president, Industrial Starch Products. In 2008, Thorpe was promoted to vice president for Global Sales. He received his degree in Business Management from Silver Lake College, Manitowoc, Wisc., and his MBA from the University of Iowa. He and his family reside in Muscatine, Iowa.
