October 13/New York/Dow Jones Newswires -- Ralcorp Holdings Inc. has picked Robert Vitale to serve as chief financial officer of Post Holdings, which will house its Post cereal business following the food maker's planned spinoff of the business.

Vitale comes to Post from AHM Financial Group LLC, where he was president and chief executive. Before his tenure with AHM, he was chairman of Bargain Shop Inc., a Canada retail chain.

"Rob is a talented financial professional with the right skills and expertise to serve as CFO of Post Holdings," said Ralcorp chairman William P. Stiritz.
