Lifeway has established a niche for itself in the kefir segment and continues to build upon its success there with new varieties and even limited-edition offerings.
Keeping with the latter strategy, the company has returned to the holiday-themed well for seasonal kefir smoothies and added a new variety: Gingerbread. The new flavor combines ginger, nutmeg and cloves, and it joins Lifeway’s other holiday-oriented flavors—Pumpkin Spice and Cranberry Crème Brulee.
Like other products in the Lifeway stable, the new kefir smoothies are low in fat and contain a dozen live and active cultures, including Lactobacillius lactis, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Streptococcus diacetylactis andBifidobacterium lactis, while remaining gluten-free and 99% lactose-free. pf
