Milne Fruit Products now offers its first MicroDried vegetables and two new powerhouse fruit varieties.
May 15, 2013
Milne Fruit Products has expanded its dried products line with its first MicroDried vegetables and two powerhouse fruit varieties. New MicroDried corn and peas were introduced at Natural Products Expo West and will be followed by more vegetables, including carrots, red beets and organics. Pomegranate and aronia, two nutrient-laden fruits, now join blueberries and blackberries in the MicroDried dried fruit line. “The drying process gently heats the fruit to reduce the microbial load and uses a vacuum-microwave dehydration technology to finish–producing 100% all-natural, dried fruit and vegetable ingredients with no added sugars, flavors, colors or preservatives,” notes Michael Sorenson, Milne’s president and general manager.
