January 7/Plymouth, Wis./Press Release -- Mike McEvoy has been named Sargento's executive vice president-Operations effective immediately. Manufacturing, engineering, quality systems, procurement, logistics and distribution services will now report to him. “I am confident that Mike’s experience, understanding of our corporate culture and collaborative leadership style will ensure his success in this new role,” commented Louie Gentine, CEO. “He has the support of the Operations team, and throughout his tenure here, Mike has earned the trust and respect of the entire Sargento family.”  

McEvoy earned his bachelor’s degree from St. Norbert College and MBA from Cardinal Stritch University, and completed the Executive Education Program at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. He joined the company in 1998 and has held a variety of increasingly responsible positions at Sargento including Trade Promotion manager, Marketing manager, general manager, vice president-Sales, and most recently, president - Food Ingredients Division. Prior to joining the company, he worked in the transportation industry.
