SQF Certification for Ticklebelly

Steven Roberts Original Desserts and Ticklebelly Desserts announced its Pembroke, N.C., bakery has earned SQF Level 3 Certification.

February 26/Pembroke, N.C./Press Release -- Steven Roberts Original Desserts and Ticklebelly Desserts announced its Pembroke, N.C., bakery has earned SQF Level 3 Certification by the Safe Quality Food Institute (SQFI). A globally recognized and trusted food safety and quality program, SQF Level 3 is the most stringent and highest level certification awarded by SQFI. This certification is recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and trusted by retailers and foodservice programs worldwide that require a rigorous, credible food safety and quality management system. "

The SQF Level 3 Certification at the Pembroke bakery continues Steven Roberts Original Desserts’ and Ticklebelly Desserts’ commitment to food safety and quality," a company release notes, "that also includes previously earned Orthodox Union (OU) Kosher Certification at this bakery. Steven Roberts Original Desserts’ and Ticklebelly Desserts’ Colorado bakery is on schedule to earn SQF Level 3 Certification by the end of 2014."
 
“SQF Level 3 Certification validates Steven Roberts Original Desserts’ and Ticklebelly Desserts’ core commitment to food safety and quality control and designates our program as best-in-class,” stated Brian McGuire, president. “Steven Roberts Original Desserts’ and Ticklebelly Desserts’ food safety and quality program is based on employee engagement on all levels and every employee at the Pembroke bakery completed additional, job-specific training in order for us to earn SQF Level 3 Certification,” McGuire added.
