Kayem Foods, maker of the iconic Fenway Frank and famous since 1909 for quality hot dogs, sausages and deli meats, announced two new additions to its product lineup, introducing its first-ever lines of burgers and hot dog buns.
Kayem is teaming with another third-generation, family-owned New England company, Gold Medal Bakery, to make Kayem Frankfurter Buns, premium New England style split-top buns. With bakery-style richness and featuring 20% more ounces than a typical hot dog bun, the savory texture of Kayem Buns make them usable for grilling.
“We saw a void in the marketplace for quality New England style buns, and they go so perfectly with our meat products that it was a no-brainer to start making them,” said Matt Monkiewicz, VP of Marketing at Kayem Foods. “Gold Medal has a great reputation for producing the highest quality bread products, and as a fellow local, family-owned company, they are our ideal partner. We’re excited to get these on the shelves just in time for Memorial Day and the summer grilling season.”
In addition to the Frankfurter Buns, Kayem also launched new Angus Beef Patties, available now at retail markets throughout New England. The juicy burger patties are made with all natural premium cuts of Angus beef and gluten-free ingredients and are available in two flavors: Beef and Bacon & Cheddar. The burgers are fully cooked, making them easy to prepare in the oven, microwave or on the grill, and are packaged in a re-sealable pouch to ensure freshness.
“As a company with an unparalleled heritage in hot dogs and sausage, we’re thrilled to expand to include burgers that meet those same high standards,” continued Monkiewicz. “Kayem’s Angus Beef Patties are easy to prepare without compromising taste, making them a great addition on the grill and in the kitchen. At a time when our brand continues to expand in new markets throughout the country, these new products underscore our commitment to provide delicious and convenient meal options.”
