Monogram Foods, a manufacturer and marketer of beef jerky, corn dogs, pre-cooked bacon and other value-added meat products, announces today the completion of its acquisition of Golden County Foods in Plover, WI. Golden County Foods is a frozen appetizer business with approximately $100 million annual sales, 550 employees, and two production facilities.

Monogram will rename the facility Monogram Appetizers. Monogram plans to maintain relationships with all existing Golden County Foods customers and vendors.

With this acquisition, Monogram Foods now owns manufacturing plants in six states, all of which have been acquired by the company over the past nine years. During that period, the company has grown from 15 employees to over 2,300 with the addition of Golden County Foods, while simultaneously increasing revenues from $8 million in 2004 to over $500 million in 2015 with the Golden County acquisition.

“Monogram Foods is a growth company that really cares about its team members and customers so that we can profitably grow together. This acquisition helps to strengthen our position in and commitment to the frozen foods category, and with the expectation that we will save and create jobs at each of our plants,” stated Monogram’s Chairman and CEO Karl Schledwitz.
