Lidia's line of pasta and sauces added two new USDA Certified Organic sauces to its product line. Lidia Bastianich, celebrated Italian chef, Emmy and James Beard-winning television personality, cookbook author, restaurateur and founder of Lidia's, is behind the launch.

The new products are: Lidia's Organic Marinara and Lidia's Organic Tomato Basil. The sauces, which are also Kosher and gluten free, are made in New York using quality, Certified Organic ingredients including organic Italian tomatoes, organic carrots, organic extra virgin olive oil, organic California garlic, sea salt, organic basil, organic honey and organic crushed red pepper.

"We believe that organic is the next frontier," said Lidia Bastianich. "Our customers have told us they love our All Natural, Kosher and gluten-free sauces, but they also wanted organic. We were able to source the very best organic tomatoes, which are at the heart of the new sauces."

The two new Certified Organic sauces join Lidia's existing line of products, which includes seven other all natural, Kosher and gluten free sauces (Marinara, Tomato Basil, Vodka Sauce, Garden Style, Artichoke Marinara, Chunky Eggplant, Arrabbiata) and nine pastas (Capellini, Spaghetti, Linguine, Fettuccine, Penne Rigate, Fusilli, Rigatoni, Farfalle, Tortiglioni).

The all natural, GMO-free Lidia's pastas are made with durum wheat milled in Italy. The pasta is extruded using bronze dies and slowly dried at a low temperature, which greatly improves the texture and flavor. Lidia's also uses high-protein flour, which affects the texture and flavor, and is how the pasta that is eaten in Italy is made.

Lidia's Organic And All Natural Marinara and Lidia's Organic And All Natural Tomato Basil are available at Eataly (www.eataly.com), at fine food stores nationwide, and online retailers. Suggested price is $8.99.
