Greenfield Milling Opens Flagship Utah Flour Facility

New mill to supply Pepperidge Farm and fuel nationwide expansion

Utah Flour Milling, LLC, dba Greenfield Milling, announced the grand opening of its flagship Flour Milling facility in Richmond, Utah, marking a significant step in redefining the food supply chain. The new, state-of-the-art mill is designed to deliver a dedicated pneumatic flour supply to Campbell's Pepperidge Farm Goldfish Cracker and Milano Cookie plant through a 20-year Supply Agreement, achieving significant sustainability initiatives.

A key factor behind this achievement is Greenfield Milling's strategic partnership with Nippn Corporation of Japan, which holds a minority equity stake in the company. This collaboration highlights Greenfield's commitment to building a nationwide footprint through strong alliances and ongoing growth.

Founded in 2022 by industry veterans John Mason and Bryan Ledgerwood, Greenfield Milling aims to become a leader in mix-integrated flour production. The company emphasizes cutting-edge technology, quality, and strategic partnerships to meet the evolving needs of retail, snack and bakery markets.

The Richmond facility can produce up to 7,500 CWTS daily, with capabilities for hard wheat, soft wheat, whole wheat, and organic flours. It offers flexible packaging capabilities—from 2-pound to 50-pound bags—and multiple shipping options to ensure reliable nationwide supply.

Greenfield Milling plans to further expand its operations by leasing certain former assets of Panhandle Milling, a recognized leader in organic retail flour and bakery mixes located in Hereford Texas. This agreement will enhance Greenfield's ability to serve the bakery industry with ingredients and mixes for tortillas, pizza dough, pancakes, and dry bake mixes in conventional, organic, and gluten-free formats. Supported by a multi-year Supply Agreement with a national bakery and restaurant manufacturer, this relationship solidifies Greenfield's position as a comprehensive retail ingredients provider with extensive manufacturing and distribution capabilities across the US.

Looking ahead to 2026, the company also plans to expand its Utah facility with advanced blending and warehousing automation, boosting capacity to meet rising consumer demand for high-quality bakery ingredients and mixes.

Greenfield Milling's strategic focus includes forming alliances, expanding product offerings aligned with consumer trends, and optimizing operations through disciplined capital management. The company's long-term vision is to grow market share, increase profitability, and establish a sustainable foundation for future success.
