To kick off its 100th birthday – dubbed the "Hostess Sweetennial" -- Hostess has created Birthday CupCakes with the taste of birthday cake. The cupcakes feature golden cake with festive rainbow sprinkles baked inside and a decadent vanilla icing. Topping the treat are more rainbow sprinkles and The Original Squiggle®.

Hostess Brands, LLC is collaborating with Nestle Dreyer’s Ice Cream Company to launch Hostess Frozen Novelties and Ice Cream. The parties have entered a license agreement through which Nestle will manufacture and distribute the new products under the Hostess brands.  

Both Classic and Banana flavors of the pre-packed deep-fried Twinkies – found in the freezer aisle – are battered and flash fried before they’re frozen.

The product will be available in grocery stores and other mass retailers later in the year.

The new recipe features enhanced flavor and texture, as well as greater moisture and, most notably, the nutritional benefit of 8 grams of whole grain per serving.

Tapping into the rapidly expanding in-store bakery category, Hostess Brands has completed its acquisition of Superior Cake Products, Inc., a Massachusetts-based in-store bakery company. This is the company’s first acquisition since the Hostess brand returned to the market under new ownership in 2013.

Hostess Brands and Sony Pictures have teamed up for a collaboration of epic proportions to celebrate the July 15, 2016 theatrical release of Ghostbusters, with a limited edition flavor and packaging on store shelves.
